We commit to the lead time you see at checkout. If anything changes during production, you hear from us — not the other way around.

What happens in each week between deposit and dispatch. Every order moves through these six stages — you can see which stage your order is at, in real time, in the dashboard.
Proforma invoice issued. 30% deposit cleared. Production slot reserved on the factory calendar.
Pattern checked against the configuration. Hides selected from the dye lot, cut, and prepared. Components allocated.
Closing — stitching of the upper, lining attachment, lasting onto the model's shoe last. The most labour-intensive stage.
Sole attachment by the chosen construction (cemented, Goodyear-welted, Blake-stitched). Edges trimmed and finished.
Hand-burnishing where specified. Final colour pass. Internal quality control on every pair against the spec sheet.
Cotton bags, kraft outer, balance invoice issued. Carrier collection booked. Tracking shared the same day.
Lead time excludes transit. Add freight time from dispatch — typically 5–10 business days within Western Europe. See the Shipping & Customs page for region-by-region transit estimates.
Hits the 4-week mark. We hold capacity for these orders.
Faster than multi-model orders because cutting and assembly are batched.
Adds 1–2 weeks for material lead time at the tannery.
Hand-burnishing, decorative welt, hand-stitching push finishing into a second week.
Production sequencing across multiple last sets — typically adds one week.
Not subject to standard lead time. Quoted per project — 6–10 weeks is typical.
Open
Full standard lead time. Pre-season buying for autumn/winter is the strongest fit for this window.
Tight
Capacity narrows around the European summer schedule. Plan an extra week of buffer for August deposits.
Heavy
Holiday and spring/summer cuts. Deposit in early September to guarantee in-window dispatch before year-end.
Every order has a live status in your dashboard mapped to the production stage above. You don't have to email to ask where the order is. If a stage takes longer than planned, the platform shows that — and you receive an email at the moment the dispatch ETA changes by more than two business days.
Express production is occasionally available against an air-freight surcharge for in-stock leathers — we don't promote it because it isn't always honest, but it exists. If you have a fixed in-store date, talk to us before placing the order rather than after.
Send us your in-store target. We'll work backward and tell you the latest deposit date that hits it — before you commit.
